NIS suppliers battle slowing demand for traditional network infrastructure and associated services with increased focus on professional services


According to Technology Business Research, Inc.’s (TBR) 1Q17 Network Infrastructure Services Benchmark, the network infrastructure services (NIS) market contracted due to vendor-centric issues such as divestitures rather than significant market factors, but the market is slowing. Revenue from benchmarked suppliers declined by low single digits year-to-year; however, revenue increased 1.3% excluding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), which experienced steep inorganic revenue losses following the sale of a majority stake in H3C.
